Pretty quiet isn't it?
Nobody from Anet has posted here for a short while and their website hasn't had a new entry since fansite friday 53...well, to my knowledge anyway.
Let's hope that sorrows furnace is being planned for tomorrow!
I'm really excited about it. I can't wait to explore these areas and see what other goodies are in store for us.
Just speculation but looking at past streaming updates, i'd say we've got a good chance of having some nice surprises this summer.
Fingers crossed for tomorrow!!

I haven't read up anything about the new patch. Is there a map showing where these new locations can be found? At least give me a hint or direction.

Actually, ArenaNet haven't told us where the new areas will be located but i suspect, like many other people, that they will be accessible from the other shrines in Temple Of Ages.
At the moment, their are TWO in ToA that are void...makes sense really.
Gaile hinted in one of the fansite interviews that junior players will have access to some of the new content. Perhaps that is why there is a shrine in sardelac and serenity temple?
Just a thought.

Aren't there THREE void in ToA? Dwayna, Lyssa, Melandru?
And I first thought the same, that it would fill these voids. But the map names are Sorrow's Path and GRENTH'S footprints. And Grenth's spot is allready taken....
And I also keep my fingers crossed. It's been a bit to quiet indeed.

Sorrow's Furnace will be somewhere in that gap in the mid Shivepeaks. No Idea where Grenth's Footprint will be though.

There's a very strong clue to the location of both of these maps here, where it is stated that Sorrow's Furnace and Grenth's Footprint are located on "the eastern slopes of Lornar's Pass, north of Camp Rankor..."
Grenth's Footprint is the surface area, while Sorrow's Furnace is an underground maze of mines.

I find it strange that if u go to the monument on grenth which is between the Lornar's Pass and Camp Rankor, it teleports you to the Underworld even though it would have been a lot easier to do so from the Temple of Ages...
Maybe they are going to make it so you teleport to Grenth's Footprint instead?
The suspence is killing me!

Thanks Alex.
I was looking over the map around a week ago for possible places but i was so adamant that they would be new zones like UW/FoW that i gave up looking.
C'mon Alex, when are they coming buddy? I won't tell anyone, and neither will anyone on this forum. lol.
So excited.

It would have sucked, if these areas could be accessed by whoever has the favour at the time. My hope is they are accessed via new outposts.

Well I think that tomorrow, ANet will give us a big overview of the expansion (like they did before adding the faction points) and they will release the update next week (on the 10th august, also when the results of the boss contest are published).

There are many areas not yet accesible that i want to see

That's a pretty good point Altair. I forgot about that one.
Kinda hoping my name will be chosen too. Two reasons to celebrate.

I definitely hope they are new outposts. I hate UW and Fissure cause of the Favor and because it's near impossible for someone to find a group unless they play with a big guild.

Not only are they giving us new zones, but dungeon style areas was a big player request a while ago, and once again, A-net is answering our requests.. I love you A-Net!

Well they are going to be in the southern Shiverpeaks... which in theory would limit them to the ascended only, but we all know the reality of that. :P
EDIT: I think it's HIGHLY unlikely that the new areas will be out this week. ANet said they would announce the "Brand the Boss" winners on Aug. 10th... that's next wednesday. I can't see them releasing the new areas before naming the boss winners. So I think we have at least one more week to go.
